This hair gel has a firm hold that lasts for 5 days on my texturizer 3A curly hair. Throughout the week, I have to add water onto my hair. Then, brush my hair for this gel to still work. This gel works good on my daughter's hair. She runs and plays. This gel keeps her hair in place with her bun hairstyle. This is the right type of gel that I have been looking for. I really like the 20 ounce jar size. This amount will lasts for a good while, before I need to buy more.
I just love your products I love how it keep me and my daughter‘s hair moisturized shiny in the growth
So I belong to this hair club for naturals and this gel was in this months box. I almost didn’t try it because I wasn’t a big fan of the black/brown gel from the 90’s called Pro something or other, it had a not so pleasant smell too. When I twisted the cap off of this gel I instantly could smell the difference, it had a wonderful smell and I was pleased. I started with my edges first to see what I was working with and let me tell you, it is exactly what it says it is, sleek and smooth. My hair type is about a 3b or c or maybe even a 4a and curly and straight hair mixed. I also have a lot of gray strands of hair that is very much noticeable and this gel made it not too noticeable. This gel gets 5 stars in my opinion. It’s a great product for a great price.
If you are looking for a good gel that slicks your hair and holds it down this is the one. I’m very picky about my gels because a lot of other gels don’t work but this one does. The gel itself has a dark color pigment to it but it won’t stain your hair. I have a combination of 3b/3c/4a hair type and this gel is good for laying it down. This gel dries at a decent rate where it molds the hair as well which helps it stay in place.
So, I was at my local beauty supply store in need of some products. And I came along this gem and figured I try it. I saw the word sleek and I have been trying to find a gel that does just that. I have 3c 4a hair but my hair is fairly loose in the front so its not really hard to slick it down. The key is moisturizing before hand. Let me tell you , my hair was so sleek with this gel and it has castor oil in it! My hair is supper sleek as if I have a silk press!! If you are hesitant give it a try, you should do it! Its not expensive.
The description for the product does not match the item but I did use both gels and love them both so I will review both. The curl clumping gel truly defined each and every one of my coils. I actually don't mind the shrinkage due to the fact that every strand is so defined. It paired really well with the moisturizing lotion and I think the weight of the two cut back on most of my shrinkage. I have great hold with out the Ramen noodle crunch. I laid my edges with the Sleek Smoothing gel and did not expect it to last more than 2 hours but I am now on day 3 without a touch up or refreshing. This gel reminds me of a gel I swore by in the 90's the brown gel me and my sister would fight over in the morning getting ready for school. I have not used it to do a sleek bun but that will be my next style since it had no problem laying my unruly edges.
The gel feels nonsticky and its hold is amazing which is lasting for the complete day.
